In Russia, it is considered to be inedible, but in European countries it has a different attitude, and there it is eaten and added to various dishes.

Description of pepper mushroom

The hat in diameter is from 2 to 7 centimeters, its shape is convex round, then it takes an almost flat shape. To the touch, the hat has a slightly sticky consistency, a smooth and shiny surface. The color of the hat varies from light brown to dark brown similar to rust, the hat can also be speckled yellow, red, orange or brown.

In the European part of Russia, the germination season is from July to October. It occurs most often alone or with a maximum of 2-3 fungi in one place.
