The format of the hat is bell-shaped with some tuber in the central part. Notches are present at the edges. We will study other features in order.

Gray float

Description

  1. As befits all representatives of fly agaric, this specimen is formed from a kind of white cocoon. Otherwise, it is called dragged into the veil. First, the shape of the cocoon is ovoid, after which it cracks into several blades. The instance appears and begins full growth.
  2. Top in bell format, thin leg. The hat grows and sticks out, then smoothes out as the life cycle of a particular instance. In the central part of the apex, a tubercle colored darker than the edges may remain.
  3. The float stands out among the ones that are similar to the lateral parts of the cap. Edges with scars, as if ribbed. This is noticeable even in young animals, but is more clearly visible in mature specimens. The coverlet remains at the starting point of the leg. It hangs freely, does not interfere, it is painted a light gray or whitish shade.
  4. At the top, flakes of a whitish tone can be seen. They soon disappear, because they practically do not stick. Often, a white blanket sinks into the ground, so you can not see it. The base itself is covered with whitish scales, it can be smoothed.
  5. If all fly agarics are characterized by the presence of rings on the base, then these circles are absent in the float. It is this sign that distinguishes floats from fly agarics, it is also worth paying attention to the cut edges.
  6. The top is not too thick, it is fragile and breaks quickly. It turns gray in color; blotches of a brown, greenish, brownish-gray tone can be observed. But the most common are specimens with a gray top. In rare cases, you can find albinos stained with pure white.
  7. If you turn the hat over and pay attention to the plates, then it is easy to notice their decent width and whitish tone. Plates do not extend to the leg, do not grow. In young animals, these parts are covered with the remains of the bedspread. The older the mushroom, the darker is the inside of the apex.
  8. As for the taste, they are not. Also, there is no particular smell that helps to distinguish this representative from the like-like. The main thing is to pay attention to the edges of the hat, as well as the shade. There should be no yellow pigment in color.

Application

Gray float application

  1. Discussed fruiting bodies are edible fungi. Such specimens can be fried without any problems. Only previously they need to be boiled for several minutes. Separately, it is worth mentioning that fruiting bodies have relatively low palatability.
  2. To be honest, such mushrooms are simply tasteless. Among other things, they are as fragile as all other floats. Therefore, when collecting mushrooms to deliver them home in integrity is extremely difficult. It is worth knowing that such mushrooms are saturated with a unique substance in the form of betaine.
  3. Just such an enzyme is successfully used in the medical industry in the treatment of liver. In addition, with the help of betaine, a rather extensive list of various pathologies that are associated with impaired metabolism can be treated. These fruits are unique in their form, which belong to medicinal mushrooms.
  4. As for traditional medicine, such fruiting bodies do not apply.A close relative of gray floats is fly agaric. The latter is quite common in the forests of our homeland. However, the gray float does not belong to the inedible and poisonous brothers.

  1. Among similar species, it is worth highlighting a white float. The mushroom is painted exclusively white from the legs to the hats. It is quite rare. Moreover, the yield of the fetus is extremely low.
  2. There is also a lead gray float. It is very similar to the fetus in question. The hat of such a mushroom has a lead color with a bluish tint.
  3. There is also a saffron float. A distinctive feature of such a mushroom from a gray float is a hat with a red tint. It can also be olive in color.

Today we examined a representative of the mushroom family, which, according to its external data, may be similar to a fly agaric. Therefore, it is extremely important, when going on a quiet hunt, to be able to distinguish a float from a self-similar one. Pay attention to the color of the hat, as well as its edges.
