Knee massage

  1. Folk methods. There are a lot of them, not all equally help. But in most cases, when the pain occurs due to overstrain or a minor injury, you can help. Iodine in the composition of an alcohol solution may well help. The remedy needs to be smeared with a sore spot (mix iodine and alcohol and wait until the resulting drug becomes transparent). Gently rub it into the knee, while in no case applying any bandages (bandage and fixation are contraindicated).
  2. The compress of their freshly grated potatoes also applies to these methods. Grate the root crop without peeling it and pour a little aviation kerosene, mix. Apply to a damaged area. The best option if the procedure is carried out 15 minutes before a night's sleep. Kerosene improves blood flow, and potatoes have long been considered one of the best external remedies to relieve pain and reduce spasm.
  3. Homemade ointments for the knee joint. One of the simplest recipes: 1 st. tablespoon of vinegar (apple) + 1 teaspoon of turpentine + egg yolk. Everything should be at room temperature. The ingredients must be thoroughly mixed into a homogeneous, dense mass. Before applying the knee, it is recommended to grind a little so that the ointment is better absorbed. After the sore spot is lubricated, it is wrapped up and left for a couple of hours. Another recipe: cut the middle onion in half and cut each part so that the juice flows out. Put the root crop prepared in this way onto the knee, tightly wrap it so that the fluid coming out of it interacts with the tissues of the joint, and leave it overnight.
  4. With the formation of edema, the best bush will be a whole bush of a calendula plant. Tear it, process it under water, chop it and boil it. Then attach to a sore spot and wrap tightly with bandage or gauze, or better yet - cling film. It is recommended to treat it so 4 days, immediately before bedtime.
  5. All kinds of rubbing and massages can help. But here it is important to remember: such actions are good only in the presence of a small injury, without displacement of the joint. Otherwise, only an osteopath should work with the knee. She will correct it correctly and apply a fixing bandage or even plaster. It is usually rubbed before going to bed so that the pain subsides, and the person can sleep soundly. What is used? Rubbing with tincture on a dandelion with the addition of medical alcohol is effective (warming, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effect), tincture of nine-strength with vodka (before use, the product must be at least three days old, and lubricate the place of exposure with oil to prevent skin burns), tincture of horse chestnut with vodka (proportion per 1 bottle of 300 grams of chopped chestnuts, stand for at least two weeks with daily shaking, rub intensively and without filtering).

All these funds are not official, but they can still help. You can use any medical pain medication (ibuprofen, noshpa) to relieve severe pain, but this will only be a symptom relief, not a treatment.

Some more tips

In addition to the listed medicinal methods, there are others. The simplest of them is to securely fix the joint so that it does not move. This will not only relieve pain, but also help the injury pass faster. In special stores (usually sports or medical), knee pads are sold. With their help, it is easy to reliably and accurately fix the crippled knee, thereby protecting itself from pain.

Finally, physiotherapy can also be effective. It will be better if a doctor prescribes it, but you can warm up and massage it at home. The main thing is to be sure that it really helps you.
