Description of the fruit, their use

Since the pulp of Big Gold pepper is sweet and aromatic, it is often consumed fresh. But pepper is also ideal for freezing, preserving, stuffing, baking and other culinary manipulations.

Seed preparation and planting

Before proceeding to the planting of seeds, they must be calibrated in saline. They do this to increase germination, which in its pure form is 75–80%. One teaspoon of salt is dissolved in a cup of warm water (200 ml). Seeds are placed in the prepared solution for 20 minutes. All grains that have sunk to the bottom are suitable for growing. Those that remained floating on the surface should be discarded, as they lack enough nutrients for germination.

Planting seeds for seedlings is carried out in mid-February. For germination, prepared peat mixtures are used. The earth is pre-watered with a solution of phytosporin and compacted. The seed is laid out on the surface and sprinkled on top with soil (about 1 cm). The temperature of the room when growing seedlings should be at least + 24 ° C. Subject to this simple rule, seedlings will appear in 4 days.

Then, when the seedlings get stronger and begin to form separate leaves, the room temperature is gradually reduced to + 15 ° C. Already formed bushes are planted in open ground, 12-15 cm high, tentatively in early May, when the likelihood of repeated frosts is minimal. Planting in greenhouses can be 3 weeks earlier.

Care and fruiting

Seedlings are planted in the ground as soon as it reaches the age of 60 days. Planting scheme - 30x30, as the bushes are stunted and small in volume. But in greenhouses it is recommended to increase the distance between rows and bushes to 40x40 cm, because in such conditions the plant bears more fruit.

Pepper Big gold unpretentious, watering is carried out once every three days in the evening. To do this, use settled water at room temperature. During the entire growing season and fruiting, the soil is recommended to be planted. As fertilizer, nitrate or phosphates can be used. The plant responds positively and gratefully to all fertilizers. Already 35 to 40 days after transplanting, seedlings begin to mature technically. During this period, it is recommended to water up to once every two days, so that the pepper is more juicy and fleshy. After another 10 days, you can begin to harvest the first crop. Harvesting is carried out as the fruit ripens.
