Freken Bock is a mid-early ripening variety. Ripe fruits appear in 95-100 days from the moment the first sprouts hatch. You can grow a culture in any Russian region, even with an unstable climate, since this variety has good stress resistance to poor climatic conditions. But in such places it is recommended to plant tomatoes in a greenhouse.

Characteristics:

  1. Plants are compact, each height up to 160 centimeters.
  2. The stalk is distinguished by its power, less leafy. The leaves are ordinary, dark green.
  3. The fruits are large - the average weight reaches 500 grams.
  4. The shape of the tomatoes is heart-shaped.
  5. The skin is thin, smooth. Ripe tomato is painted in pink and raspberry color.
  6. The pulp is fleshy, juicy, the taste is a little sweet.
  7. The aroma is classic tomato.

The variety perfectly tolerates heat and lack of water, without losing productivity. It has good immunity to major diseases that bother solanaceous. Tomatoes are distinguished by good keeping quality and normally carry transportation over a short distance.

Seedlings

This tomato variety is grown in seedlings. Seeds are sown in late February - early March. The soil can be purchased in specialized stores or made independently - mix peat, garden soil and sand in equal proportions. To destroy harmful bacteria and pathogenic viruses - it must be treated with a hot solution of potassium permanganate. Tara, where seedlings will grow, also needs such processing.

Seedling Tomato Freken Bock

After everything is prepared, the earth is poured into the tank, it is moistened. Two shallow (1-1.5 centimeters) furrows are made, where the seeds are placed. Then the earth is poured on top of them, sprayed with water at room temperature and stretch a plastic film on top. Polyethylene is removed daily for airing and watering seedlings. While the seeds germinate, you need to maintain a temperature of 22-23 degrees.

After 6-8 days, when the shoots appear, the film is removed and the boxes are transferred to where there is enough light - to the window or loggia, if it is glazed and warm. The main thing is to constantly water the sprouts and from time to time to loosen the earth.

After the appearance of the second leaf, the seedlings dive - they sit in separate pots. After two weeks, you need to feed the seedlings. It is recommended to harden the seedlings for 8-10 days before planting in the ground - to take them outside, each time increasing the time by several minutes. This will allow tomatoes to adapt better and provide good resistance.

Landing on a site, leaving

As you know, a good crop depends on the proper crop rotation. Tomatoes grow well after crops such as cabbage, cucumbers, and legumes. Some gardeners annually change the soil, but it is enough to enrich it with nitrogen, potassium, fluorine.

Growing tomatoes Freken Bock

On one square meter it is not recommended to plant no more than three bushes - they will interfere with each other. The bush is formed into one or two stems, and the shoots that appear must be removed.

The bushes need a garter, therefore, supports are digging in next to it - iron pipes or wooden stakes.

Care for the Freken Bock variety is standard and small, which differs from growing other tomatoes. Plants also need light, constant watering and top dressing. After each watering, it is advisable to loosen the soil and, at least once every 2 weeks, weed the area, removing weeds.

Harvesting is carried out in July. By the way, so that tomatoes are better stored, it is recommended to pick them a little unripe. Then they will be better and longer to lie. Fresh tomatoes are well stored in cool rooms at 10-13 degrees Celsius.

Reviews

Gennady, 33 years old: Engaged in gardening from a young age. Most of my plantings are tomatoes. I try a variety of varieties, I try to find an approach to everyone so that a rich harvest is obtained. The family loves tomato juices, ketchups, adjika, sauces, everyone happily eats canned tomatoes in the winter. Freken Bock liked the whole family - good taste, sweet and fragrant. Plants did not suffer from diseases, once sprayed - and that’s it. The crop was not the highest compared to other varieties, but what was great.
