Tomato Watercolor

Characteristics

The variety is bred for fairly stringent growing conditions. One of the distinguishing features is the absence of the need to break off stepsons and planting seedlings in open ground without the use of special greenhouses.

It was bred by Siberian agronomists. Perhaps shelter in the greenhouses of the film type. It ripens quickly enough and gives a good harvest. Sowing takes place in March, in May - landing in the ground. In the first half of July you can wait for the harvest.

Aging conditions depend on the climate of the region: humidity, light days and temperature conditions, as well as caring for the plant.

The stalk is very powerful, holds the ovary and fruit well. It does not require garters to any support, it is well fixed by itself due to its thick trunk. However, the fruits themselves must be propped up so that the tomatoes do not come into contact with the soil. Thus, it is possible to avoid unexpected rotting of the vegetable on the ground, as well as the movement of rot to other fruits.

Flowers, and after them the ovary and the first fruits are formed on the fifth leaf. Up to eight groups of inflorescences and ripened tomatoes are possible in the season.

Fetal feature

All ripened tomatoes are identical in size and shape - very neat and smooth vegetables. They have an elongated shape. Bright red color both outside and inside. They have good density and sweetness. A feature of the variety is a yellowish speck at the place where the tomato is attached to the bush itself.

They are convenient to assemble, break off well at the attachment point. This quality allows you to collect fruits by vegetable harvesters.

The maximum weight of the ripened vegetable does not exceed 120 grams, the length of which reaches 6 centimeters. It has good taste and aroma. From the “Watercolor” variety you can prepare high-quality tomato paste, as well as sauces and ketchups.

The fruit is well stored and withstands long transport. A green-torn vegetable can be stored for up to 30 days, reaching the desired color in the warmth. Used in canning. It goes well with cucumbers, zucchini and squash.

Care

This variety is quite resistant to weather changes, unlike its counterparts. Variety Aquarelle breeders specifically developed for regions with different, not very favorable weather conditions. Partly cloudy, rain and wind do not care for him. This variety tolerates coolness. Great for growing in large-scale industrial conditions for further deliveries to supermarkets.

Watercolor tomato care

These tomatoes are the most prolific. One square meter accounts for up to 8 kilograms of ripened fruit.

Seedlings

It is possible to sow this tomato directly into the ground. However, the process of growth and maturation becomes longer. Therefore, it is better to first grow a tomato to a state of seedlings in a room or a heated specialized greenhouse, and then plant it in open ground.

Seeds are sown in advance - 8 weeks before the last number of expected frosts in the region where further growth is planned in the greenhouse or without it. After 7 days, the sprout should hatch. Humidity should be at least 60% and not more than 70%. The temperature should not be less than 22 degrees.

When humidity and temperature are optimal, then germination will be pronounced. Hatch almost all the seeds. Watering seedlings is carried out once every 10 -12 days.If tomatoes are watered more often, then their trunk will stretch out, will not be strong and stable, which means that the bush will hurt and there will be few fruits. When watering, the water should be settling and warm - about 20 degrees.

Disembarkation

Bushes are transplanted into the ground around mid-May or closer to June - depending on the weather. An approximate layout of the plant is used for further more proper growth. Tomato seedlings are planted in a hole at a distance of 50 cm * 40 cm from another plant. Approximately 3 to 4 bushes per square meter are obtained.

It is necessary to monitor the nutrition of planted plants. And also to mulch or loosen the soil with a small embankment at the base of the trunk.

Tasty and aromatic fruits grown in a relatively short period in fairly harsh conditions will please any agronomist. Particularly like summer residents who plant tomatoes annually on their personal plot.
