How to prepare seeds for planting

If you want to get a good harvest, you need to prepare the seeds before sowing. Tomato seeds can be subjected to short-term heating, the temperature should not exceed 55 degrees. Warm up the seed for 2-3 hours.

Seeds are treated with solutions of biostimulants so that young plants are not susceptible to disease. You will need manganese (dilute 1 g per one glass of water) and soak the seeds in it, for convenience they can be put in a fabric bag.

Seeds need to be quenched. For 2 days, they must be kept in the refrigerator at a temperature of about +1 and periodically sprayed with water.

Planting prepared seeds in cells or cups is necessary in mid-February. When planting seeds, leave 2 cm between plants. Planted seeds must be kept warm at a temperature of 20-22 degrees. In order for the seeds to germinate faster, it is recommended to cover them with a film.

Seedling Care

While seedlings grow nearby in one pot, there is no need to feed the soil.

The solution for the second top dressing: 1 tbsp. spoon of superphosphate and sodium sulfate per 10 liters. water. After 2 weeks, one more dressing should be done.

Before planting seedlings, it is necessary to temper it. At a temperature of at least 12 degrees, the tomatoes are taken out into the street. Ready seedlings should have 10-12 leaves and several inflorescences, about 20-30 cm high.

For the preparation of soil mixtures and pest control, you can use needles. In January - February, pick half a bucket of twigs, finely chop them and mix with the same amount of garden soil.By March, when the time comes for planting tomato seeds for seedlings, a loose black mixture forms in the bucket. On this soil mixture, seedlings are obtained with a well-developed root system; it has dark green, strong greens. Of course, in this process it is important to provide seedlings with light.

Landing

Apollo Tomato Planting
In open ground, seedlings are transplanted at the end of May. In the first days after planting, you can use a film to make seedlings easier to adapt.

  1. Before planting, make holes 30 to 30 cm, fertilize them and spill with water. Carefully remove the finished seedlings from the containers and plant in the wells, try not to damage the plants, they are very tender.
  2. While the tomatoes will take root, carefully monitor the soil. It should be loose around the plant.
  3. Watering the plant with its growth increases, if during flowering 20-35 liters of water per 1 sq.m were required, then during the abundant formation of fruits it is necessary to increase the amount of water to 70-80 liters per 1 sq.m.
  4. On dense soils, sand can be added to the wells to improve aeration. During the growing season, plants are fed with superphosphate and humus, treated with complex preparations from pests.

The culture does not take up much space in the greenhouse as it grows up. New buds are constantly forming on the hands. Fresh fruits in the open field are harvested until September. Apollo tomatoes are unpretentious and very productive.
