Description

The plant begins to bear fruit 95-100 days after the appearance of the first shoots. The bush is determinant, stops growing after the appearance of inflorescences, but has many stepsons, therefore, it needs garter and removal of unnecessary shoots and stems. Some leaves covering the ultraviolet rays during the ripening of the tomato are also subject to removal.

The place for planting the tomato should be quite sunny, this affects the staining of the fetus in bright colors and the rate of ripening. The more ultraviolet rays, the brighter the color.

Tomatoes are cylindrical, fleshy, characterized by the absence of many internal seed chambers. The average weight is 55-65 grams, they contain a lot of carotene, which is necessary for good nutrition. Widely used in diet food. During the fruiting period, the harvest is carried out up to five times, which is convenient for the gradual harvesting of tomatoes for the winter period.

About 3 kg of the finished product is collected from one bush. The variety is high yielding.

Growing seedlings, ripening dates

Growing seedlings of tomatoes Elisha
The variety is cold-resistant, an earlier period is selected for sowing, starting in February, and the finished material is planted in May under film greenhouses or agrotechnical fiber that can retain heat and moisture. After the appearance of the first shoots, the temperature is lowered to 17-20 degrees in order to strengthen the stems of the tomato and prevent stretching and thinning. In early spring, the lack of natural light is compensated by the installation of fluorescent lamps, phyto lamps and ultraviolet lamps. Shoots are fed every two weeks to strengthen resistance and improve fruiting during the growing season.

A method of growing tomatoes directly in a permanent place is possible, without additional transplanting and diving seedlings. Seeds are sown directly into the ground at the beginning of April and covered with a film or other modern materials. For irrigation, the crops are periodically opened during the warm time of the day. If the sowing place is covered with modern agrotechnical materials that allow watering, then there is no need to open and air the seedlings. With the exception of replanting, the bush is formed with a stronger trunk, the number of ripened tomatoes during the fruiting period is up to 50-60 pieces.

At the time of the appearance of 4-5 leaves, thinning of the stands is carried out, leaving up to 50 cm between plants and up to 60-70 cm between rows. During the formation of the bush, periodic fertilizing with organic fertilizers is made, the best of which is natural mullein.

Storage

Fresh storage of the crop is possible until the New Year holidays. The collection of unripe and green fruits is carried out on the eve of the first frost, and they are placed in one layer in a dry room for gradual ripening. For longer storage, tomatoes are placed in cardboard or wooden boxes, covering them from daylight, and taken out in a cool room, not subject to dampness and mold. Periodically, it is necessary to sort out the tomatoes and ventilate, providing air access to the stored tomatoes.

The tomato variety Elisha very well established itself in the market and among gardeners.
