Grade description

This plant is superdeterminant, the bush is stunted, grows no more than 50 cm in height. But yields are high - up to 8 - 9 kg per m2. The Kurnosik variety belongs to the mid-season category, as from 110 to 115 days pass from the germination period to full ripening. No stepson required.

The bushes look neat, they have medium-sized light green foliage. In a simple inflorescence, 4 fruits are usually formed. Each weighs an average of 150 - 200 g. The color of the ripened Kurnosik is very saturated - bright red, and the shape differs significantly from other tomatoes due to the heart-shaped outline. Outwardly it has a dense structure with a strong skin. The pulp is medium density, juicy and sugar, with a high content of vitamins.

This variety is well preserved for a long time, but deteriorates from direct sunlight. Transported without damage. When canning, most often the fruits have to be cut into pieces, since they are most often large.

Growing Features

This variety was developed by breeders for outdoor cultivation and, if the climate is colder, for film greenhouses.

Sowing for seedlings takes place at the end of March or at the very beginning of April. To achieve good seedling growth, you should prepare land for it. The soil must be fertilized, which means that it must contain the necessary minerals and vitamins. It is advisable to treat the seeds before planting with a weak solution of manganese, then it will be easier for them to grow, the plant's immune capabilities will increase.

Seeds are sown in the ground to a depth not exceeding 2 cm. To facilitate the onset of growth, it is advisable to cover the containers with a film and keep only in a warm room, protecting from drafts and temperature extremes. The pick is made in phase I of this sheet.

Transplanted seedlings can be transplanted in a few months, in greenhouse conditions - in early or mid-May. Immediately before planting, it is advisable to harden the young plantlets, expose them for a short time to fresh air. The Kurnosik planting, proposed by experienced farmers, is 40 × 50 cm. They claim that by observing these parameters, high yields and high-quality fruits can be achieved.

Care

Tomato Care Kurnosik
Once the bushes are planted in the ground, it is not advisable to water them in the first few days. This is due to the fact that the plant must get used to new conditions, acclimatize. But then watering is recommended systematic, even at a time when tomatoes are ripening intensively on the bushes. Watering during the flowering period is necessary every two days, not forgetting that the water must be warm. The irrigation procedure is reduced and is carried out every five days. The optimal dose for each bush is up to 5 liters of water. Dressing is obligatory for Kurnosik during this period. Mineral fertilizers are an excellent growth promoter for this tomato. Experienced vegetable growers believe that it is better to use organics, adding it 10 days after transplanting into the ground.

Pay attention to the condition of the soil. In order for the plant to breathe and receive useful substances in the required amount, loosening of the soil is required. The care of plants is simplified due to the fact that it does not require pinching and tying, creating supports.

Planting in greenhouses is used for earlier harvesting. There, tomatoes are protected from night spring frosts, because they grow more amicably, give a higher percentage of yield.

Kurnosik has increased immunity against many diseases and pests of cultivated plants, is quite resistant to verticillosis and fusarium. But still, it will not hurt to protect the tomatoes. There is a small nuance here: you can use special preparations purchased in a specialized store only at the initial stage of development. Then you should use folk remedies, only in this way you can save all the positive properties of snub-nosed fruits. Simple comprehensive care will ensure a decent harvest.
