Tomato Marisha

Short description

Like any other variety, Marisha has its own distinctive characteristics, so it is recommended to familiarize yourself with them before starting the cultivation. Especially for beginner gardeners it will be useful to study the features of this type of tomato.

Marisha is an early variety, so he can give a crop quite early. 3 months after planting, it is already possible to collect the first fruits. The bushes of the plant are small, only 45-50 cm high, so their garter is not required.

On the bushes grow green leaves of medium size. Over time, over the 6-7th leaf, the first inflorescence occurs. The formation of the remaining inflorescences occurs after 1-2 leaves. Tomatoes themselves are quite smooth and rounded. Before ripening, they have a greenish color, and already in ripe form the vegetables acquire a bright red color. The weight of the fruit is on average from 50 to 100 g. In the event that optimal conditions have not been met, the weight of the fruit can be 20-50 g.

This variety is quite popular in cooking. Tomato is perfect for both preservation and for preparing a variety of salads.

Landing is recommended from mid-April. Not earlier than in a month you can begin to plant seedlings. In order to protect young seedlings from frost, one should not rush too much with planting seedlings in the ground.

Planting seeds

Preparing planting material
If the seeds were stored at a low temperature, then they must be warmed up before planting. During heating, there should not be any temperature jumps, the process should be gradual. Therefore, it is recommended to warm the planting material for 2-3 days using batteries.

When the seeds have already warmed enough, they need to be soaked. To do this, you need to wrap the tomatoes in a cloth like gauze, heat the water and place the planting material there. The procedure will take from 10 to 12 hours. Every 2-3 hours you need to drain the cooled water and pour the heated.

Soil preparation
It is recommended to prepare the soil in advance. This is necessary to stimulate the growth of seedlings. To do this, mix the earth with sand and peat. Next, you need to mix this mixture and fertilize it with a nutrient liquid, which should consist of potassium sulfate, urea, superphosphate and 10-12 liters of water.

You can prepare the soil using another method. Humus and soil should be added to peat. After everything is mixed, it is necessary to add ash (500 g) and superphosphate (50 g) to this mixture.

Planting seeds
You need to sow tomato seeds in boxes that are specifically designed for this. Using this method, you can grow quite a lot of seedlings. First you need to pour the prepared soil into the container for planting. In order to have seedlings where to sit in the soil, you need to make small grooves (the distance from each 5 cm).

After the distribution of seeds in the wells, they must be covered with soil, compacted and irrigated. Containers with tomatoes must be covered with foil and transferred to a room with good lighting and temperatures above average.

Planting in the garden
Seedlings should be planted in the soil when they noticeably sprout. This usually happens after May 15-17, when severe frosts are already over.

Site selection
Planting is recommended at the place where perennial plants, cucumbers or cabbage were previously grown. Do not also forget that the site should have good, and preferably round-the-clock lighting, it is also worth taking care of the fence, which can protect plants from strong wind flows.

Landing
Before planting during the extraction of plants from the pots, you need to be very careful not to harm their roots. Without clearing the earthen coma, the plant must be placed in the prepared hole. In each well, there must first be some fertilizer mixed with ground. First, seedlings need to be laid on the side of the soil, and then pour plenty of water. This procedure is needed to strengthen the root system of the bushes. Then you need to sprinkle the holes with soil and pour. So that the crust does not form on the surface of the earth, watering should be moderate.
