This type of nightshade family is considered to be ripe. Ripening period - from the moment of formation of the first seedlings to the harvest of ripe tomatoes is from 100 to 110 days. Moderate humidity is very beneficial for this vegetable crop as opposed to excessive watering. When the fruits begin to ripen, they are cast with increased sensitivity to such an indicator as the moisture level. With its shortage, twisting of leaves, falling of ovaries may occur, the remaining tomatoes will be small.
2. Providing the necessary air temperature for the culture. When this indicator falls below the required level, the plant may bloom with a slowdown, or not bloom at all. If normal temperatures are exceeded, pollen will be less viable, which will reduce the amount of yield. In conditions of high ambient temperature, more active propagation of the fungus occurs, because of which the tomato is affected by a variety of diseases.
3. The introduction of organic matter and mineral fertilizing. If there is not enough substance in the soil, the fruits may ripen late, the yield will decrease, the bushes may die.In order to avoid the occurrence of such troubles caused by a lack of mineral elements, it is recommended to fertilize in a timely manner. It is necessary to do this, observing certain rules: seedlings of this vegetable crop require phosphorus, while adult bushes are more in need of nitrogen. During the period of vegetative ripening, a tomato really needs a mineral element such as nitrogen.
