So that washing things with stains of paint does not seem so terrible to you, follow some tips:

1. Gouache is a glue-based paint, so you need to wash it immediately. If the stained item is in the wash for at least a day, then even long soaking in water will not help you get rid of stains. If your outfits and baby clothes are dear to you, then get down to business immediately.
2. To remove most of the dye, you can keep the item in water for a long time or wash it several times. Of course, it will not work to completely remove the stain, but to get rid of most of it is very possible. Detergents must be applied to the remaining dye.

2. Now soak everything in a soap solution for at least 30 minutes. Look at how the dye itself behaves with the fabric, maybe you need more time to soak or less.
3. Now we use laundry soap or any other stain remover. We lather a piece of clothing that is dirty, and again leave it for a while so that the detergent begins to react with gouache.
4. Now we use normal washing and wait for drying. If there are still spots, then repeat the procedure again.

It is very important to use only cold water during any procedures for removing gouache from clothes! Hot or warm water only contributes to fixing the adhesive base on clothing.

Gouache removal from different fabrics

If you are dealing with natural fabrics, then washing may seem like an easy task. If the stain is fresh, then immediately soak the thing in water with a soapy solution, it is advisable to use ordinary laundry soap. Then we erase, dry and look at the result. If there are small spots, then again we wash, but already using alcohol. In this case, soak the clothes for about 30 minutes.

If you still can not get the gouache, then proceed to more radical methods:

• We take any solvent that is at hand.
• Apply liberally to a cotton wool or rag, sponge and begin to rub the area with the dye.
• Gradually, gouache will begin to split and withdraw.
• Move carefully so that holes do not form.
