How to wash cotton so that it sits

In most cases, cotton products are stretched due to washing under the wrong temperature conditions, spin conditions or during prolonged wear. It is worth knowing that high-quality cotton in 95% of cases does not sit and does not stretch.

1. Before starting processing, examine the tag on the back of the product. The manufacturer indicates the recommended washing temperature at which the product does not fade and does not sit down. You need to do the exact opposite. For example, if the label says “wash at 30-40 degrees,” put the clothes on the machine and set the mode to 60 degrees, not more. It is important to know that in this way only light and dark things can be processed, colored clothes will fade and become dull. How to wash synthetics so that it sits

By and large, synthetic products do not shrink. This is especially true for fabrics such as nylon, polyester, acrylic. Typically, clothes are given to dry cleaners, where professionals do everything on their own. If this feature is not available, use the best practices.

1. To shrink the synthetic product, just add 10 degrees to the temperature indicated on the label. At the same time, do not add air conditioning, it prevents the nylon and polyester from pulling together. Set the maximum spin speed (800-1000).
2. Ice water will help to make a favorite thing 1-1.5 smaller. The exposure time in this case is about 3-5 hours. At the end of the manipulations, you need to collect water with soaking movements with a towel.

How to wash the wool so that it sits

Woolen products are most susceptible to stretching, especially with regard to the line of the shoulders and waist. Before proceeding with the procedure, read the manufacturer's information indicated on the tag.

1. The difference between the recommended and actually set temperature should not exceed 20 degrees. As a rule, sweaters are washed at 30–40 degrees; it turns out that you need to process clothes at 50–60 degrees.
2. Put the thing in the machine, add the powder for washing baby clothes. Turn on the desired temperature and spin no more than 500 revolutions. Wait for the end of the procedure. Important! If you wash woolen things in a typewriter, give preference to the “wool” and “hand wash” modes; do not use the spin cycle for more than 600 revolutions.
3. Prepare a solution of 5 liters of water (temperature 40 degrees), add 1 cap of air conditioning for clothes, dip a thing into the liquid. Rinse for 5 minutes.
4. Now fill in a basin of 5 liters of water (temperature 50 degrees), do not add rinse aid, repeat the previous procedures. An important feature of wool processing is considered to be that clothing sits due to a sharp temperature difference.
